Spicy hostels are very unique with western set up and eastern generous management. It is outstanding hostels that you will come across in SE Asia among tons of guesthouses and hotels.

Spicylaos, the second spicy hostel was established in Luang Prabang, Laos on 7th June 2008 under the same management and concept. …It is fast growing and being top rated hostel in Laos.

Our two hostels in two different countries being top rated in all major booking engines are not by accident. The combinations of our local knowledge from being local growing up in the area, the skills from being trained in university and working in tourist business for years and the experiences from being backpackers traveling the world has been put together to make the place truly home with understanding, caring, trusting and fun.

NOTICE

-Spicylaos is kept to be small hostel with a few dorm and only 2 double rooms so better book in advance to avoid disappointing.

-Spicylaos is A BACKPACKERS HOSTEL. If you are a backpacker or backpacker like minded, you would love this place.

-Luang Prabang is the most remote city where any thing modern is imported and cost double the price compare to what you would pay in Thailand or Vietnam. However, we offer the best continental breakfast and lots of quality facilities even it cost us double because it hardly be a good home without it.

-Witness the donation of our recycle, bottles and cans, to the Children Cultural Center’s Recycle Bank on every the first of month.

-Participate in LPB biggest and funniest BACKPACKERS PARTY on every 7th of month sponsored and organized by Spicylaos Backpackers and Lao Lao Garden.

-There is a regular talk organized in the hostel, “Introduction to Laos History and Culture” or “Introduction to Buddhism and Monk life”. If it is on, DON’T MISS IT !! It is a talk by Spicylaos’ Director as a tip for Spicylaos’ guest for totally free of charge. His 6 years studied in temples as a novice, 4 years in university studied tourism and 9 years experience as a tour guide is worth spending an hour to listen to.

-Check out our unique ACTIVITY BOARD when you arrive at the hostel for trip, talk, house dinner, dining out, night out, festival, activity etc organized or suggested.
